
Lybbert, Clifford Wright
14 March 1942- 24 February 2009
Born to Harden Olden and Delsa Wright Lybbert in Ellensburg Washington. Graduated from Moses Lake High School in 1960 where he enjoyed wrestling, football, geometry, drafting, and attended early morning seminary. October 1961 was called and set apart as a missionary in the Eastern Atlantic States Mission for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. Serving mostly in Pennsylvania teaching the gospel of Christ. “This was one of my best experiences in my life…” Married and sealed to his eternal companion Melodie Conrad in the Cardston Alberta Temple- 22 March 1966. Moved to Spokane and started his family and life. Cliff enjoyed working on a multitude of projects, remodeling, selling real estate, starting businesses and staying active in church service. His greatest joy came from his family.Moved to Port Orchard in 2002 where he, with the help of the Lord, planned and built a “grand” home overlooking the Seattle skyline and Mount Rainier. In 2007 Cliff was diagnosed with Mesothelioma.Preceded in death by his parents, two sons Michael and Bradley, two grandsons Johnathan and David. Survived by wife Melodie, children Marci (Mitch) Alderman, Tami (Russell) Dirks, Kathy (Richard) Russell, Barbi (Duane) Baumann, Sarah (Chris) Jones, Diana (Kris) Jones, Eric (Nicole) Lybbert, Randy Lybbert and 20 grandchildren. Also survived by his brothers and sisters Enoch (Donna) Lybbert, Dennis (Rita) Lybbert, Thelda (Verle) Evans and Naomi Brown.Funeral will be held on Saturday 28 February - viewing at 9:00 am with service to follow at 10:00 am. Cliff will be laid to rest in Spokane Valley with a graveside dedication on Monday 2 March at 10:00 am. A Life remembrance open house will follow the dedication.
Benj and I were so sorry to hear about your loss. Your dad is in a much better place and it's so great to know what we know!! We love you guys and miss you too!
